An engraved commission is any type of job where I engrave an image onto the surface of anything metal that you wear as jewelry, or own as a keepsake. With the help of my new CNC engraver that uses a diamond scribe bit, I can engrave just about any image you want with immaculate detail.
Engraving Commission Rules:
-- At least 1/2 the order must be paid for before I start!
-- Commission requests must be sent to me in a note.
-- I have the right to refuse any commission request!
-- I cannot engrave anything larger than 6 x 6 inches
-- No requests for jobs considered NSFW!
-- Supplied artwork must be clean and legible
One of my most common types of commissions is character pendants! I can engrave just about any pony you want on the front side of a pendant, along with a second image, pony, or message on the back side (Many choose to do the pony's cutie mark)
My character pendants come in three different shapes: Round, Diamond, or Dog Tag. They're also available in silver tone and gold tone (NOTE: The pendants are NOT solid silver or solid gold! The white pendants are nickel plated, and the yellow pendants are gold plated. If you cannot wear nickel plated jewelry, ask me about substitute metals).
I also have round and dog tag shape pendants that come with a rhinestone border if you want to get a little fancy.
Each pendant comes with your choice of a black leather cord that measures 18" with a 2" extension, or a 24" stainless steel beaded chain. Please be sure to specify which you'd like. If you'd prefer another style of necklace for your pendant, just ask me and I'll see what we can do.
The Engraving Process
Just about any image or artwork can be engraved onto metal! In order to do this, however, the image must first be converted into a simple black and white file (The simpler the better) The less work I have to do to the image, the less time I'll have involved in your commission, and the less money it'll cost you. If you use artwork that belongs to another artist, please be sure to get their permission before commissioning me to use it! If the artist wants payment for using their work, it is up to you to pay them.
Sometimes multiple characters can be added to a single project, depending on the size of the piece. Also keep in mind, however, that the more characters added, the smaller they have to be, and that sometimes means sacrificing quality and detail in the artwork.
Other Engraving Commissions
Other than pendants, I can engrave many things! I can put artwork onto pocket watches, money clips, drinking flasks, belt buckles, earrings, tie bars, metal bookmarks, card holders, etcetera! I've learned that if it's made of metal and has a fairly flat surface, I can put a pony on it!
Q: Does the commission have to be pony related? A: Nope! It can be anything you want! It doesn't have to be related to ponies or have any particular theme.
Q: What kind of CNC engraver do you use? A: I'm not allowed to disclose that information.
