I'm use to working with mostly silver using copper and brass as accent metals with it. Using the two together with no silver in the main design is much harder than it looks! This pendant measures 3 1/2 inches in width, and 2 1/2 inches in height. It's entirely hand crafted out of brass and copper sheet, with silver wire used for the hidden bail, and as a back brace for the tail.
The trickiest part about this design was cutting the pieces out carefully so they fit together perfectly. This is nothing new when using silver and base metals together, but sometimes you can use silver solder to fill in any gaps...I didn't have the luxury this time
The enameling in the eye was custom mixed to give it a transparent golden rod color.
It'll come with the silver chain it hangs on, which is a 24" curb chain.
