One Of A Kind
This piece sold at the Equestria LA 2012 charity auction for $130.00.
I actually don't make to many bracelets, so this was a bit different for me. Still, I'm pleased with how it turned out. 100% hand crafted! The base is solid brass sheet, The silhouettes of Princess Celestia on either side were sawed out of sterling silver sheet, and Princess Celestia's cutie mark in the center of the bracelet was made from sterling silver and copper sheet. The stone in the center of the cutie mark is genuine sun stone, which I was ecstatic to find in my stock because it was the perfect choice for the theme of this bracelet. The stone is set in a bezel setting. There were no glues or adhesives used in the making of this piece! In fact, there’s a total of about 22 solder joints. I also incorporated a bit of my hand engraving into the design with some pin-striping around the edge of the bracelet, then antiqued it black.
The bracelet is a cuff style bracelet, and it measures 7 1/2 inches from end to end, with a 1 inch gap at the bottom. The height of this bracelet, at it tallest point, is 1.8 inches. Needless to say, it was designed to fit a larger wrist. If you're going to be at Equestria LA, and are interested in bidding on this piece, please keep that in mind when bidding.
Overall, this bracelet took about 12 hours to make.
I have another design in mind for EQLA's auction, maybe two. It all depends on how much free time I have to work on auction pieces.
