This time I'm reporting with fantastic news!!! The two charity pieces I sent off the Babscon, The Tree of Harmony Pin, and the Apples to the Core Pendant:
From what I understand, the BabsCon crew misplaced the pieces, and rediscovered them when they were cleaning up today. Both designs will be mailed back to me soon, and I'll be re-donating them to other convention charities.
I want to thank everyone here and on Twitter for your help! It was through your combined efforts that this problem was quickly made aware to the BabsCon staff, causing them to respond quickly and locate my pieces before they were lost for good.
I also want to thank the BabsCon staff for responding quickly to the situation. It all means a whole lot to me!
Sad news. Two Season 4 inspired designs that I'm really proud of:
were to be donated to the BABSCon charity auction that took place last Sunday. Unfortunately, before the auction started, these two designs went missing. I've spent part of my evening last night trying to find out what I can about these, and most of today as well. All I know so far is that the pieces were in fact seen at one point or another during the convention, and went missing before the auction.
I can't get ahold of the ladies in charge of BabsCon, and I can't get ahold of anyone working for Bronies for Good, the organization in charge of the auction.
So far it's looking like the two designs were stolen, but I don't have enough information to come to that conclusion. If anyone who attended BabsCon has ANY information about these two designs, PLEASE let me know!
I worked very hard on both designs, I'm very proud of each.
EDIT: thanks to a combined effort of DeviantART and Twitter, I was able to get the phone number of the BabsCon Con chair and she told me they made finding my jewelry a top priority. If they find my pieces, they will send them back to me so I can donate them to other charities. If not, they agreed to pay a reimbursement amount to the charities their auction was for. Thank you all for your support!
